This is based on a traditional Mongolian construction, using wooden poles arranged in an elegant criss-cross formation for the walls; other poles meet in the centre of the roof, where there is a sealable hole to let out smoke from a fire or stove. The entire canvas and poles can be disassembled and packed into a (largish) car, and rebuilt in a few hours (great for frequent absquatulations). Tessa used to use it as a gallery space for her large stained glass windows, but it has since been furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities and a nice wooden front door, so is available for hire.
