A small 15th Century gatehouse

I visited
Marmion Tower on the banks of the
River Ure in West Tanfield (northwest of Ripon) in
July 2004. The
downstairs room would make an ideal film location for a dungeon. The spiral
staircase leads up to the main room above which is open to the sky.
