A large upland lake

At an altitude of 375m, Malham Tarn is the highest limestone lake in England, yet despite covering an area of 153 acres, it's only 14 feet deep!

Footpaths lead:

• East to the cliffs at Great Close Scar
• South east to the endless slopes of Malham Lings
• South to the Dry Valley
